I had a very disappointing experience at Jordan West Dental. When I arrived, I provided my insurance information and expected the office to verify my coverage before recommending any treatment. Instead, I waited over an hour and a half just to be seen for an examination, which I found completely unacceptable. During the appointment, they attempted to schedule and provide a root canal without clearly explaining what my insurance would or would not cover. I’m very glad I declined because I was later surprised with a bill of nearly $250 just for the examination. The CT scan alone cost $250, and I was never informed beforehand that I would be responsible for that cost out of pocket. Every other dental office I’ve visited has been transparent about insurance coverage and patient responsibility before performing procedures or diagnostic services. I later learned this office was out of my insurance network, but that was never clearly communicated to me before services were provided. Had I proceeded with the recommended root canal, I could have ended up with thousands of dollars in unexpected expenses. I believe dental offices should be upfront about costs and verify insurance benefits

If you are in need of a root canal, Dr. John West at The Center For Endodontics is quite simply the best. We are very fortunate to have his office in Tacoma as Dr. West is known nationally and internationally as an expert in this field. He has been a leader in advancing innovative techniques and equipment over the years. Even though the state of the art, whiz bang tools and equipment at The Center For Endodontics is impressive, it really is that, combined with John's passion and compassion for his patients well being and long term care that sets him apart and above others in the field. This allows him to provide patients with a pleasant and pain free dental experience. Having been a patient of his, as well as knowing John over the decades, I can truly attest to his technical skills,finesse and expertise. In recent years many dental offices have tried to provide more creature comforts,nicer waiting rooms,water,coffee,etc to their patients. Dr. West was doing this in the 1980's decades before it became fashionable. Today John still calls his patients after hours to check on them and to see if they have any questions,etc. After a recent appointment I also received one of those calls.

Amazing professionals across the entire staff. Top notch, pain free root canal procedure. Dr West called the evening before the procedure to answer any questions I had and called again the evening after to check on how I was doing. No one wants a root canal, but if you have to get one, I can't imagine a better place to have it done.

I am Canadian and I was passing through the area. I had pain in a tooth following a root canal treatment done in Quebec. I showed up at their clinic at 6:30 in the morning without an appointment. I had an incredible welcome. Dr. West and his assistant Erika took care of me immediately. I had royal treatment. I can't thank them enough. Their kindness really touched me.

Dr. Jordan West provided me with the most professional and caring dental experience of my life. I was dreading having another root canal as I have not had good experiences in the past with other providers. The entire staff far exceeded my expectations and the procedure was a complete success. Thank you Dr. West and thank your staff for a job very well done!!
